This is the juice. It’s Hydrating, full of healthy stuff, and it tastes fantastic! Some days, I know I might be sitting all day, or driving my kids all over the city. This is the juice. Some days I need a reset. Like, I can tell I have had too much salt or I haven’t been eating well. This is the juice.
I can make this everyday for a week and feel like a new person after a few days. These ingredients work well for me. Indeed, I have heard all of the different thoughts out there about “juicing”, or doing a “juice cleanse” as opposed to a high fiber diet. I am not suggesting this as a cure for anything or a suggested diet of any kind. Im just saying it’s good and it makes me feel good. Yall, eat food. Eat all the food. Pay attention to how it makes you feel. Yes, I need fiber. Certainly, I also need glucose, protein, and fat… I’m not here to tell you how to get that because every body is different. I’m here to share the tools I use.
Try it. And tag me! @KindredYogaHTX

minutesIngredients
1 heads of Romain Lettuce
1 bunches of Kale
1 bunch Parsley and/or cilantro
1 head Celery
1 bulb Fennell
2 Cucumbers
2 whole Lemons
Directions
- Clean all of the ingredients well.
- Chop all of the vegetables and peel and deseed the citrus.
- Put all of the ingredients through the juicer starting at the top of the ingredients list.
Notes
- I use a Nama J2 juicer because it is basically hands free and a cold press juicer.
- The time this recipe takes depends entirely on how you clean your produce. I clean everything in the salad spinner even if it’s “Washed and Ready” produce.
- This is a great juice to make ahead of time. Store it in an air tight, glass container in the fridge for up to 24 hours to maintain nutrients.
- I love this recipe when I feel sluggish. If my body (or mind!) feel stuck and I need to increase movement. For me, this recipe can replace a meal for a week and I will feel So Much better. It’s not about weight loss or “cleansing”, but about hydrating with nutrient dense juice.
There are only a couple of things I must have to make this. They are- a good cold press juicer (It took years, but eventually, I wore this one out!). A sharp knife, I like this one because it is well made and versatile. Milk Street is a brand created from the former front man of Americas Test Kitchen. He made it well because he knows the difference and has tested them. And lastly, I need a large, airtight cup to store it in. I have a cabinet full of these brumate cups. They dont pay me, in fact, I pay them… a lot. I don’t prefer straws and I need a handle on my cups. Plus, y’all, they do not spill. I have made 32 ounces of this juice, put it in this cup and thrown it into my diaper bag. It never leaks or drips.
